Gaudy site skins aren't even in my top 99 problems. If it bothers you that much, adblock it? If you have a moral issue with blocking ads, learn to accept that ads are generally unsightly, distracting things, and get used to it.

Better Google than fucking Apple

I'm pretty sure Apple didn't have plans to create an internet pipeline system. Alas, they still make solid OSs that are mainstays for creatives. So, shut up.

"Creatives" Wtf are "creatives"?

Hipsters.

Seriously though, no OS is predetermined to enhance your ability to be creative/use design software. You may prefer one over the other, but any one who claims one is better for design, period, is a certain kind of brand fan.

I'm a designer and I use both Windows and Mac. I also fucking hate the word "creatives"; as if there was some kind of exclusive club for people who create. So programmers don't create things? No need for creative thinking when you're coding and god forbid use Linux.

Yup I hate it too for that exact reason. It's used by people who like to think there are certain prerequisites (outside of knowledge and ability) to being a designer of any kind. All an OS is to me is a graphical interface that helps me organise files and folders, and has the ability to install and launch programs on my hard drive. As long as the OS stays (or can be configured to stay) out of my way, I'm happy.

"Big twist ending" is not specifically something that makes a great story for me. I haven't played the game, so perhaps my comment doesn't apply to it, but if we're judging storytelling in games by how shocking it is, we're on the wrong path. A premise and a well designed universe/environment can be all you need to make a great "story", allowing the player to partially create some of that story themselves through their imagination, influenced by the atmosphere of the game world. An example of that in my experience is any of the STALKER games. Fairly low on story beats and exposition, and pretty straightforward overall plots, but the game world and the atmosphere you experience transported me into the fiction better than any corridor shooter, feedmetheplotandshockmeattheend game ever has.

Yeah, sided with him for episode 1 and mostly against him for episode 2 (although he was ok in the camp at the start). Even forgetting about the jerk decisions he makes, the fact that he doesn't try to save you from the brother at the end of episode 2, and his acting like a full on dramatic bitch at times, the correct and smart decision you would make in that situation would be to side with Lilly. I think shes the more capable colleague you'd want.

I didn't see the cannibalism thing until close to the reveal (and the discovery behind the barn door) but everything from the moment you meet them is telling you something is up.

@jakob187: If I'm remembering correctly, the default controls are just aim for the location on the body and click, which I stuck with. You can be accurate and do pretty much what you intended, i.e. chopping off an arm, or slicing at the neck. I don't know if that was any different to the default console controls, and I'm not sure if there's an option yet for analog controls on the PC. A google search did turn up a thread on GB from last September with information on how to enable it through config files, but the last post suggests that might require a controller.

@jakob187: I bought it on sale but haven't installed it yet. However, when I got my hands on it last year (pre-patches, Y key to noclip), I encountered zero game breaking bugs, so I can only assume the latest version is just as good. The only two things were: item dupe glitch, and the aforementioned noclip glitch (developer build remnant if I'm not mistaken).

I don't buy games/books/movies/music/coffee in order to fund some kind of community development effort. I buy things I want, and I can seek out any community groups for free on the internet or locally if I wanted to join some kind of club or something (which I don't, for the record). I don't understand this weird attitude of attempting to make people feel guilty for not going out of their way to prop up a failing business. Their success is not my responsibility.

I choose to spend my money where it makes the most sense to do so - ie. lowest cost, convenient, and good customer service. Online, delivered to your door in two/three days is the way of the future present.
