@janman In regards to playing the original FFVII, I'm sure someone has already reached out to you on this but if you search for, "Final Fantasy VII Seventh Heaven Mod" you can find basically the definitive version of the game that is an aggregate of several mods from graphical improvements to quality of life gameplay mods as well.

It's really incredible to see what these modders have done. I'm not sure if someone who had never played the original will be wowed but for someone who has it's quite the marvel.

I know everyone on this site adores FFTA, that is a game I loathed. Really didn't like how you couldn't rotate the map and the card judges wasted a bunch of time between turns. I much prefer the Playstation game.

The PG movie that scarred me as a child (in addition to ET) was Willow. Specifically that part where he turns that troll to mush. Horrifying even to someone who's an adult. 😭

Sad to see Bart vs the Space Mutants on here. One of the few NES games I owned as a kid. I also had Bart and the Beanstalk for the game boy. 😎

I know it sounds like most of you have moved off of Redfall and it seems to be forever tainted now but you should really give Dev a try. It was clear to me from the beginning that really only two of these characters are good for solo play, Dev and the girl with the psychic boyfriend. The other girl seems like she's only good for co-op and the other guy seems to be a straightforward shooter type person, like choosing the soldier in Mass Effect (and you know if you chose that you goofed up).

Anyway, Dev is great. You will use his abilities often. He can teleport which makes engagements a lot more fun. You can TP up on to roofs and stealthily take out enemies and then TP to the ground behind enemies and take them out from behind there. It feels like that Arcane touch you want is with Dev.
His other abilities are cool too, he can throw an electrical stake into people! And his "ultimate" is some pulsing UV light, which admittedly I don't use often but is useful as it blinds humans and petrifies vampires.

So if there is anyone out there who hasn't been chased off already play as Dev when you play. 👍

In regards to special edition Series X Consoles maybe you just haven't been paying close attention. Just off the top of my head I remember they released the Halo Infinite special console and the ugly Far Cry 6 console.
And I suppose it doesn't count since there was only one, they gave away a Series X that looked like Claptrap 🥹

Sounds like Grubb hasn't played PUBG in a while. They have Blackpink concerts in the game now. So I guess you could say it is more intense than it previously was 🤔

Personally I like the steam pages (yeah you found the guy) and the user reviews, especially around the launch of a game, are a lot more informative than review score from a website. Some reviews will tell you how buggy the game is, if it runs, if it's got some DRM in the game, generally topics not covered by professional reviews.

However, I see a game pop up in the store right now and bottom third of the game art just says, "95% POSITIVE REVIEWS" which its probably more of what they want to crack down on.

@janman The way it was explained to me the reason they have different accents in Xenoblade is because it's to signify that each character is from a different region, similar to when a dubbed anime has a character with a Texan accent.
