My main Switch issues have been around battery life and system power. When the system had big frame rate issues with BOTW I was a bit worried, but only 3 hours of battery life was just crazy.

On top of that I have had constant issues trying to play and charge the Switch at same time, and times where the Switch just refused to charge off a plugged in USB-C.

When they claim 4K on this new version, and the Switch can barely do 900p I am very skeptical. Will this version struggle for 1080p, but be proclaimed to be 4K?

My "death row meal" would be Prime rib with mashed potatoes and gravy - my ultimate comfort food.

I like to try and find a mountain similar to the one that Vinny ended up building into his base. After that it's hours and hours of digging out cobblestone and dirt and building out a tower.

Then I usually end up leaving the game for probably weeks/months at a time and then come back and start all over...

Would RIsk of Rain 2 count as underrated? It got some good talk around it, and I have super enjoyed it.

As to the Doom eternal story - did I miss a game in between Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal?

The story seemed to suddenly be full of information and lore that I have no memory of from Doom 2016, and the Doom Slayer seemed to be fleshed far more and in different ways than I would have liked from 2016.

Not to say bad, just a bit jarring and unexpected. Also the Doom Slayer not having armor on his biceps just seems an odd stylistic choice to me, but at least it isn't the bare mid-riff from some old art...

I enjoyed the combat mechanics and the frantic situations, it's just the first person platforming - I simply don't have the hand/eye coordination these days (if ever) so jumping mechanics just kind of aggravate me.

I'm glad its a game that people have strong feelings for, I'm curious to see where it ends up with the GB crew...

So I downloaded Doom Eternal off of Game Pass, I would say I got to one of the first involved platforming sequences and after failing probably 20 or so times, quit and uninstalled.

I will preface this that I am ba at games, have limited time available (so I usually usually play on easiest difficulty), and have terrible hand/eye coordination. I can't say that I was expecting this kind of platforming in a Doom game, and that is not what I am coming to a Doom game for. Add in some crappy checkpointing, and that is it for this game with me.

Anyone else encounter this kind of issue with unexpected platforming in a first person game?

The problem I have with Gamepass is the bandwidth requirements, particularly due to data caps up here in Canada.

I'm lucky to have an unlimited plan, but without any real competition between our ISPs up here they really have a hefty control over bandwidth amounts, so constantly downloading games onto small hard drives is going to cost some people.

Finally managed to order a PS5, so if the order doesn't get cancelled I will finally be able to play this!
