@mirado: yeah I was thinking pretty much all of that just as a hit send. I think they should definitely play MGR but maybe after Drew and Dan have finished MGS5. Give the series another month or two break then play it.

Its got some awesome characters, some returnees from MGS4 and some neat info on how the world operates after MGS4.

Great to see Drew play GZ. I really wish they'd play Metal Gear Rising but Dan's baffling dislike for that game is gonna probably keep them from doing it. Also it's pretty short so it wouldn't take long.

However Drew probably needs a break before MGS5.

Yeah I'm with you. That scene had me panicking thinking I had fucked up my play through and then I was mostly speechless. I don't know if it was the best scene in the game or any game(probably not) but it was fucking great either way.

I think it helped that I got so into the idea of wanting to see what would play out when Geralt meets Ciri for the first time in so long. The fact it took over 80 hours to reach that point as well, the game took its fucking time with it and the payoff was great. I think the reunion between Ciri and everyone else at Kaer Morhen was also a pretty nicely done.

Yeah in the past I have wondered what they get up to in a week when they are pretty light on content but lately they've been pretty solid in terms of content. I think in the last month there has been hours of live streams and podcasts and videos. Although besides last week they have been pretty low on quick looks (3 this week?).

Should really try not to complain as they are now producing far larger amounts of content then they were before Austin was hired.

This whole drama was hilarious. Neither the joke nor the backlash to Troy was that offensive, it just seemed like the internet overreacting like normal. Troy is a pretty cool dude so I doubt he'll be off twitter for too long.

also i'll say bokurano is by far the most depressing anime show i've ever watched. It tells you right from the start that it is going to be fucked...

bokurano makes other depressing shows seem joyous and happy by comparison

still a really good show though!

This. I've actually never seen the anime but I read the manga and holy shit man. Also watching that intro brought it all back to me. I don't think I have it in me to watch the anime series though.

Also as many others have said in One Piece when Ace dies is pretty fucking gut wrenching, especially how Luffy shuts down.

It used to be far far worse but in the last year they added a huge amount of stuff, but since then they've gone back to adding things very slowly. Still needs a lot of catching up to do with the American version but its still great for £5.00 a month or whatever it is I pay.

Sure, I would play any half decent Potter game. I guess WB would need to team up with EA for this to happen as I think they still have the license?

I think its insane how EA have done only one game since the last book and film were released and that it was the terrible Harry Potter Kinect. I hope WB (who I assume owns the license as they made the films) gets the license back sooner then later because EA seems to give 0 shits about it.

Also the Auror idea posted above is a neat way to go, keeping it tied to the Harry Potter universe yet expanding on it.

I mean a Harry Potter MMO could be awesome but it would maybe have worked 3-4 years ago, I don't know if I could take another WoW clone.

I'd like to see Rocksteady get the chance to do something original or at least not Batman, however if WB wants them to do another Batman game or two then I'd fucking love to see Batman of the Future/Beyond get a chance and here's why:

  • It's essentially a sequel to the animated series which the Arkham games are heavily influenced by.
  • Features most of the same integral Batman cast from the animated series and Arkham game.
  • Set in the future so it introduces a new Batman and new set of villains.
  • Since its in the future Batman has a shit ton of new technology, future gadgets and Bat-suit.

It would have enough ties to the Arkham storyline with Bruce, Barbara and Robins being alive but in different roles. Bruce is essentially the new Oracle in the animated series whereas Barbara was the new commissioner.

In addition maybe include one if the earlier Arkham games as a bit of piecemeal to those who already bought it
