worth it at any price IMO. I dropped out for about a month but I might be hopping back on- I was just starting to find people to play with too.....

Id play solo at start to get a feel for it, then play with friends, strangers, anyone thatll group and is slightly less likely to shoot you in the face for your beans.

Really looking forward to hearing reactions about the changes they made- I hear its way harder

heh yeah sounds about right. I was 3 hours in had a winchester/revolver/tons of food first aid stuff etc.... Walk into a building, failed to clear it properly- take a shot in the back. But ohh it felt good to riddle him with bullets on the way down to the floor where we both bled out. cussed him out proper. sometimes pricks finish last, too. I'm still Mr. Nice Guy though

turn your gamma and brightness all the way up it helps

Chemlights/flares can help out if you need em, throw em at the general area you want to explore and wait for zeds to be attracted, hopefully sneak around and access what buildings you need and GTFO promptly afterwards on account of the bandits that often hang around shore looking for newbies to blast. flares are like a flag saying come get me

Also- NEVER run standing or youll attract zombies like crazy. always crouch, togggle run with 2 taps of shift and walk if youre really close to zeds but you make surprisingly little noise running crouched so you can often sneak your way right through townships. + recommend turning the music off.

Im creeping through the farm house and I hear a step. I look over and see that Id snuck up on somebody. He has a shotgun too. I shout FRIENDLY!! But im not an idiot so I promptly take off.

He shoots anyway, misses me and I get swarmed by 10 or so zeds that catch me in my weakened state. :(

well put. I gave 1-11 a shot in PVE with my lancer and I'm probably gonna reroll on a pvp server.

@kerse: nawh you dont get squat for killing lowbies, you actually get punished by gaining infamy = debuff.

So I was gonna join a PvP server but after reading about channel switching/safe zone exploits Im thinking twice. Can anyone sound off on how big of a piss off this is?

This game seems like it would be a riot pvp as long as it isnt broken, with the guild vs guild stuff especially.
