Sales people

Today I went to my local computer-electronics store high (my first poor choice of the day) and  with the computer parts I was going to buy already in mind. When I arrived in the computer aisle a seemingly kind and knowledgeable employee asked me if I needed any assistance. After I asked a few questions she asked me if I was sure I knew what I was doing. At first I felt taken aback by the question since I do not see myself as a computer illiterate person by any means. She then proceeded to sell me a different motherboard then the one I had in hand along with a new CPU, tower, RAM, and wiring. In the back of my mind I knew she got a commission off of everything she sold, yet for some reason today I said nothing and took all of the crap she handed to me. I don't know if it was because she was so convincing or because she was so pretty, but I walked out of the store with everything she gave me. I felt bad about my purchase on my drive home and how stupid I had been to not realize earlier that she honestly did not have my best interest in mind when selling me the parts.

How does everyone else feel about sales people? Has anyone else been convinced to buy anything that the originally did not want?
