Seeing as some people already mentioned Call of Duty 4, Titanfall 2 gets my vote, just because the act of wall-running, double-jumping, and sliding is so simple and enjoyable in that game.

As someone that hasn't loved a Sonic game since Sonic the Hedgehog 3, the Enter Infinite trailer is the exact kind of self-awareness I can appreciate. If the past predicts the future, I'm sure the gameplay will be a mess, and bugs will be rampant, but this finally feels like Sega acknowledging how out-of-place its villains are in the Sonic universe. All these characters like Silver and Dr. Robotnik want to murder Sonic, which clashes with the series' lighthearted protagonists. At least with Infinite, the developers seem to know how fruitless that will be. Instead, they've committed to the enemy's angsty personality; they've made him cool in the nerdiest, emo-ist way possible. Take the trailer for example. It's an AMV in all but name. The video starts with a black-and-white filter, followed by Infinite's introduction while lyrics like "I am the sharpest of blades" echo in the background. Dangerkids, a band influenced by Linkin Park, are the minds behind Infinite's theme, too; and Liam O'Brien, the actor that's made a living portraying slightly unhinged characters, provides Infinite's voice.

I've completed a living Pokedex (owning a copy of every Pokémon, not just registering it) in Pokémon Emerald (as a ROM) and Pokémon X/Alpha Sapphire. That's 721 legitimate monsters stored in my PC. I just picked up Sun a couple days ago, though, so that number will soon be over 800.

Edit: I've also finished Resident Evil 4 (I even obtained the Handcannon) and Metal Gear Solid 3 at least two dozen times apiece. They're my favorite games for a reason.

@epidehl: Came here to say the same thing. I don't know if the James Woods-soundalike was intentional, but I love how it still fits Hades even in Japanese.

Assassin's Creed II. The game has its initial moments, and the music comprises one of my favorite soundtracks, but the plot and gameplay meander for the first few hours. I could not comprehend the high review scores until I progressed past the murder of Ezio's family, at which point you start gaining new abilities and a deeper understanding of the narrative at large.

It's literally a game-breaking bug. I know modern games are a miracle if they come together at all, but this issue is high on the severity list and should have been squashed somewhere during development. There's an expectation when purchasing a full-price game that it will work, plain and simple, so awarding the review a 4.0 after losing his save progress twice - twice! - is somewhat generous I'd say.

Edit: To answer your final question, no, Dan was right in holding the game accountable for its current state. People are interested in purchasing Prey as we speak, and they need to know what they're in for, good or bad. It would be disingenuous to say, "Well, this problem might be patched in the near future, so we're scoring this review higher in light of that possibility."

Probably The Matrix: Path of Neo. Received it as a Christmas gift, beat it several times, then traded it in a week or so later. I don't regret it, but my parents likely did, seeing as they bought me the game in the first place. Otherwise, I usually keep any physical media in the shrink wrap nowadays (have to build that collection, you know). The games I actually play I either rent or purchase digitally.

That whole scene where Vince is being carried away in the helicopter had me squealing with laughter. "Hello, police? I'm a cop."
