@Icadae: Funny you should say that! I'm actually playing Borderlands on the PS3 and i bought the Claptrap DLC the day it came out (since i wasn't at the levelcap and i was enjoying Knoxx so much). But finishing up Knoxx i did hit the levelcap and i didn't want to jump into Claptrap DLC and waste all that XP, so i decided to wait. But after a week or so not knowing what game to play in the mean time i picked up Castlevania (also for PS3) and a MS points card.
With those extra points i bought Super Meat Boy (which is awesome) and RDR Undead Nightmare (also awesome) and my girlfriend spent the rest. So i still need to figure out what i'm doing with those extra 800 points. Might spent it on Mass Effect 2; Shadowbroker DLC or the new Alan Wake DLC (the writer?) but those are both 560 points = which sucks! Too bad Plants vs Zombies is 1200 or else i would've bought that.
I totally agree with the OP; this is a solid game! And somehow there are tons of people saying its shit for no apparent reason!? So it looks like God of War; that would only be a problem if God of War looked/played like shit!
I do wonder if Alex actually finished the game... it would be nice if he could post his thoughts after finishing it! I already bought the game so i'm not really waiting for a review.
I'm also playing the game on PS3 (slightly newer one; i own a 160 Gb "fat") but i have to say; i haven't noticed anything. Actually there are some levels (i'm still pretty early on) that look soo sharp and great, it amazed me! I haven't noticed anything weird while the book is on screen... is it during the Patrick Stewart narated scenes where the text appears? Or when you go into the book while in the game to access the skills and stuff? I'll check again tonight; but if its in the game its nothing too obvious...
I had noticed that, and i thought it was a little dissapointing (because i have a similair taste in games as Vinny) but he does so much other stuff! I rather have all the quicklooks and stuff he does now then more Vinny reviews!
