I think it might be time to recognize that Crackdown was never all that good or special, and that turning it into a series was ill-conceived.

I dunno. I think for its time it was a lot of fun. It was kinda nice to have a game where you could just going around and have fun. It was kinda like an arcade game. Your second point might be correct though. There really wasnt much to build on.

Hyper dimension will always be remember fondly by many as that game that go super hyped in the emulator age along with endless dual.

I agree with jeff on the game though how it just doesn't feel very good. The game looks good but its paced weirdly. If they play any more of these older games they are only gonna appreciate fighterz even more

They are going to love the next few batches of episodes I believe. I always liked the early parts of the World Tournament/Buu Saga more than what it eventually became.

Yeah, looking forward to how much fun they're gonna have for the next few episodes of the podcast, before the pace of the show (and almost everything else about it too) starts spiraling way downwards

It will be even more interesting considering how different it is pacing wise compared to the rest of kai (mainly because there is less filler and the a lot of the filler that is there is kept in final chapters)

So fun tidbit about the Cell Games Reenactment scene. Originally Chris Sabat got the TeamFourStar (Dragon Ball Z Abridged) guys to dub that scene using their character voices and I believe it aired on TV but they had to take it out for the blu-ray. The one they used in the blu-ray is actually the old version straight out of the Z dub. Here are both versions:

Both are good for different reasons, though I'm glad Jeff and Dan saw the old dub version as that's better for a first-time viewer while the TFS version is funny for those deep in the fandom as it makes tons of references both to DBZ memes and Abridged lines/jokes.

Just thought I'd post that as it slipped under the radar for lots of people. I think it's kind of wild that the Abridged voices made it into an official dub in some form.

Also WAAAVES AND ROOOOCKS!!!

Yea Apparently toei really has issues with the abridged guys and demanded it be removed. They do lend their voices to XV and a character in Resurrection F that goes unaccredited .

I do feel like it should be noted that by the standards of anyone but the Z warrios Satan is actually very strong. I think it will be explained later but he did win the last couple martial arts tournaments.

I like his arc in buu saga
