If we're being positive, I'll just say that the Voidburger show is great. I disagreed with everything she said, but that's not the point. It provides a fun point of view, and the style and presentation are top notch. Great find by whoever picked her up.

I'm curious what kind of incentive exists for recruitment at this point tbh. When GB started Youtube was only a few years old and Twitch was still Justin TV. At this point the opportunity exists for any one of these folks out there to do their thing without the help of an employer like GB, likely with much higher returns if successful. Hell, I may not be into what Nextlander is doing but boy it seems like they are doing much better for themselves away from the corporation. And much happier for it.

There's no way Nextlander would be as successful if they hadn't been on GB previously, i.e. if they were starting from scratch as unknowns.

I think you're missing the point that 99.99% of all YT'ers/streamers are not making any money.

Kind of exactly like another recent Cyberpunk game.

This is crazy talk. The game is no where near being in a bad state as CP2077. There are some bugs, sure, but saying that co-op is completely broken is just false. If it was true then Vinny and Alex wouldn't have been able to stream it playing co-op for two hours the other day.

This game is not in a Early Access state, not even close. And it's pretty much feature complete.

This game slaps. The world building and combat are top notch, and the audio-visual onslaught is a delight.

I think my only gripe is that the side missions are not working properly, in that it says for example that it's a "level 7" mission, but then you encounter level 14 enemies on your way there. So I'm sticking on the main storyline for now.

What's puzzling to me is that Danny seems to be the most productive staff member at the moment (Guilty Treasures, Bourne to Run, podcasts, UPFs), despite him only working one day of the week for GB. So I'm not surprised people question what all the other staff members are doing with their time.

Oh well, to each their own. Personally, Portal is literally a billion times more interesting than just another boring game mode. Also, I'd love it if we got an unlock in 10 minutes (or less). Beats paying $20 for one, or have you forgotten EA's unlock items? But I am the one who hates progression systems in modern games. Warzone was basically ruined for me because of it. Want to use this new overpowered weapon? Play the crappy Cold War game for 10 hours with it first to unlock all the attachments. No thanks.

The builder looks very interesting. I first thought it was just changing a few settings, but it seems to be a lot more advanced than that. And with bots available there should be ample opportunity to come up with lots of different PvE modes that could be easily implemented, with Terrorist Hunt being an obvious one.

Why would the folks who only play Fortnite, COD or FIFA need Game Pass?

Why would they buy anything other than new CODs and FIFAs? I don't understand your argument against game pass here. Those people don't affect anything other than Activision and EA.

Regarding ownership, if you're that concerned, just buy the games you want to "own", knowing that you don't really own any digital games anyway (unless they're free of DRM).

@shindig: The Long Dark will have 5 story episodes when it's done, combined as a season called Wintermute. Currently I think there's only two or maybe three episodes released.

The Survival mode is the one without the endgame.

Since this is a solo game, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try out a game in this genre. It's also available on Game Pass (PC and Xbox).

There's a student project on Steam, Arid, that looks really great and fits the bill in that it seems to focus on survival instead of crafting and fighting monsters. It's free (really free not just "free to play"), and they just released version 1.0. Personally, I'm planning to dig into it this weekend.
