Veloren is an open-source multiplayer RPG built by volunteers, has released a major new release. Veloren is a Rust-based multiplayer voxel RPG. It is influenced by games like Cube World, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Dwarf Fortress and Minecraft.
Don't even mess with me
It's at a point in which Veloren has a lot to do and see as it evolves into a full-game experience. This is an important one, as it continues to lay the foundation for future content, and it's worth checking out.
Here are some highlights from 0.9.0:
- Added chat commands for inviting and kicking, leaving and promoting groups - Map indicators for members of groups - Flying birds fly around the world - Skill trees - Initial support for keyboards that are alternate style snow particles Basic NPC interactions Support for modular weapons. - Saturation buff (healing from food) now queues. There are numerous other. I'm only focusing on a few things that stand out. There are many small improvements, a lot of bug fixes and performance enhancements and world generation updates. This is definitely one of the most promising open source games on the market. It is predicted to be very popular at the end of 2021.
