The game is currently #2 on the best selling games list on Steam. I find that kind of interesting. I think there is a large crowd of people that wanted to support it after the whole debacle with the game being taken off of Steam Greenlight.

Console owners get a small taste of what it is like to be a PC gamer. Most console games make their way to PC, but there are always a few that don't make it that I would love to play. It is nice to see the opposite with this game.

I know this is the internet and all but it's pretty fucked up to think that.

I mean i would love pc peeps to play destiny spread the "joy"

I'm not saying that I'm happy console gamers don't get to play this game (although I'm sure it will make its way to consoles eventually). I was just saying that with all the games that are console exclusives, it is nice that this time around PC gamers aren't getting screwed.

Yeah, I would love Destiny on PC as well, along with the new Tony Hawk, the new PGA game, NHL, Halo, and plenty of other console games.

Holy crap, a PC exclusive! That's exciting.

I played a lot of Enemy Unknown, but I was really bad at it. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the sequel. Hopefully they can go all out with the graphics since they won't have to worry about consoles.

I don't play FIFA, but as someone that plays another sports game every year (NHL) I can understand the anger. If this is the new feature they're leading with it looks like a skippable year for a sports game. People want major gameplay and mode changes, not some more teams that don't even properly integrate into the main modes everyone plays.

I bet a tiny percentage of people ever even touch this, meanwhile the game still has the same menus and continues to look exactly the same visually as it did last year.

They add new teams to FIFA every year, on top of gameplay improvements. At this point I don't know what gameplay modes people want, outside of official branded tournaments, like the World Cup and Champions League, which won't happen.

The funny thing is people will bitch about this leading up to release, but they'll still buy it the day it is released.

@htr10: Oh yeah for sure, and I'm probably reading too much into it. It just reminded me of what that Unity developer said last year and I had a nice laugh.

@htr10: It is funny that you mention that, because I feel like this question and answer from the FIFA 16 interview on GameSpot is a reference to the controversy surrounding female protagonists not in Assassin's Creed Unity

It seemed like there was quite a lot of work to put into this. Can you quantify how much extra development it took?

It's not really something we're looking at because ultimately a lot of these things as I said with hair and body types are across the entire game, and it was something we needed to do to make the women's feature run properly.

@brandondryrock: Sure, but there are some with dreads or shoulder length hair in a headband. I'm glad they tightened up the hair physics; but, if the major technical hurdle was making the ponytails look better and modeling some female body types, then I doubt this was a huge tech problem (or at least it wouldn't be if the crushing realities of an annualized franchise weren't in play). It probably was more a matter of a shift of priorities than a leap in technology.

Regardless of the impetus, I'm glad this is happening and it sounds like the modeling and physics improvements that they made will trickle down to the male players as well. So everyone wins!

This is a huge point. I think people tend to forget that EA Sports only has one year to work on each version of FIFA. If I wasn't such a big fan of the game, I would probably buy it once every two or three years to see major changes in the game. But every year people want so many new features added, and they can only get to a handful of them in one year.

Back to the hair thing though, I believe they only started animating hair with FIFA 14. I could be wrong. Also I believe it is a player-by-player basis. One of my favorite players, Graham Zusi, had his real face scanned into FIFA 15, but his long flowing locks don't move in the game. I wonder if this tech they were referring to allowed scanned in hair to animate now.

@jiggajoe14: Wow man. You should look to see if maybe the stock fan came loose or invest in a liquid cooler for your CPU. When I was using a stock fan, the temps were pretty high, and I checked the fan and it was a little loose. Making a secure connection with the fan dropped my temps by like 20 degrees Celsius.
