@Brandy: Haha... nice! I wonder how long it'll be before we just start stealing the actual content of our posts from each other like a pair of parrots locked in eternal discussions about achievements and trophies?
I wasn't a fan of PGR3, either. It had some nice touches, but overall, it just felt a bit lackluster. Ridge Racer used to feel that way for me too. I haven't played a NFS game since Underground 2, and I hear they've pretty much just gone downhill. That's a shame, as Underground 2 is one of my favorite racers.
I just got a fresh copy of inFamous not half an hour ago from Amazon, so I'm pretty much sitting here at work drumming my fingers until I can get home and try it out. Damn you, work! Always getting in the way of my habits!
And how is Avalon Code? After the disappointing Suikoden Teirkreis, I'm looking for something to play on my DS and am thinking about yet another meaty RPG.
@Sparky: If you want to play a great NFS game, try Most Wanted - I didn't play the 360 version, as I only had a PS2 at the time, but I can't imagine the version would be much different. I can't even begin to tell you how many hours I played that game - running from the cops was one of the most addicting things ever! Undercover has the cops mechanic too, but it's nowhere near as polished. Most Wanted is the peak of the series, imho.
PGR3 was a bit disappointing for me, but that is probably because I played it after the 4th one and other, better arcade racers. And good luck with Mass Effect's achievements. I need to play that game again.
There's no shame in ripping off Sparky's blog titles like that. ;) I've actually used a very similar format (that I think I had ripped off from someone else) between July 2007 and June 2008.
Viva Pinata was a great game. Played a ton of it when it was first released. Be weary though, it'll wear its course out quite quickly.... I know it did for me.
