Hey look, a blog!

How quaint.

  • Ta-da - reviews: Ion Assault, Military Madness: Nectaris, Zombie Apocalypse, Dead Space: Extraction, Lucidity
  • Bought some games at GameCrazy's going out of business sale - Gears of War, Rock Band, and Guitar Hero II. Supposedly stuff goes 50% off today, so I might make another trip out there. Doubt there will be much of anything left, but I like shopping regardless (which is considerably more odd now that I have become an even cheaper penny-pincher than I ever thought possible).
  • Sister asked me to make a Christmas list so she could start shopping for me, and I came up with about... five ideas. Normally I'd ramble off pages and pages of things I want, but I've become far more particular nowadays. All but one of the items that I did name were old 360 games that I need to catch up on - stuff like GTA IV and Bioshock. Figured I'd mention this to ask you all what you think I should ask for... what 360 games, past or present, are so good that I simply can't (or rather, shouldn't) live without them for any longer?

Nice Dead Space: Extraction review. I'm probably going to get it during the holidays.

As for your question, Assassin's Creed was a lot of fun and 2 comes out soon. Dead Space, Fable 2 and Fallout 3 were fun games as well.

Dead Rising is a good one to pick up as well as Fable 2. Call of Duty 2 is totally worth it.

Do you like JRPGS?  If so, Tales of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey are definite purchases.  Don't know if you played Dead Space either but its definitely a purchase, as its a brilliant game.  Call of Duty 2, a oldie but a goodie nonetheless.  There are quite a few good games to get for the 360.

Brandy - nice reviews!  The Zombie Apocalypse one was especially appreciated, as I was kind of on the fence on whether to buy it or not.  I think it's a non-purchase for now, but if it drops in price, I'll pick it up.

As far as 360 games go, I liked Lost Odyssey and Last Remnant, but they're not exactly what I'd call classics.  If you or your sis can find them for a cheap price, go for it.  Otherwise, I'd say Dead Rising, Halo 3, Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, and Forza 2 if you're at all into cars.  Forza 2 did a nice job of straddling the line between sim and arcade, and the ability to hire drivers is a godsend for me - I stink at racing games.
