@mbr2: I probably will end up doing this, yes. One of the cool things about doing these videos is finding out where in my process the annoyances lie, and how I can go about fixing them. For example, yesterday's brew day was the first time I ever used the "continuous sparge" method - it's a well-documented technique (see any Brutus build for some info). I'm now looking at replacing my double burner with a single, more efficient "floor" style propane burner, and using a metal tool cart for the rest of my stand.

The bigger concern is getting ripped off with a fake. Some of the fakes can look legit, but they are pretty clear about cracking down on them and will revoke your (fake) pass.

You know I'm in, obviously. Size M. And you may have mentioned before but if you want them just shipped to me I can bring them with me to the convention.

@thomasnash: Yeah, it's called a "blow-off tube." Same principle as an airlock, but I use them for aggressive fermentation so I don't get my airlock blown out. This IPA used a yeast starter and was going to (and did) take off like a rocket, so a blow-off helped avoid an exploding airlock. And I needed it - it still got all gunked up.

Eventually, if you fall down the rabbit hole, you wind up with this.

And this is the test batch for one of the beers I am bringing to PAX East!
