@Abyssfull: Right, it's making people's efforts worthless if they're just skimming. But, this thing is a new feature, and everybody and their brother loves achievements, so I mean we're gonna have a flood of people just skimming, or clicking to a page, hitting the "like" button, and doing it again, like whores or mosquitos or a whore/mosquito hybrid. Hopefully, this initial surge of people just randomly doing things without looking into it and learning something will die out, or the surge will help the quantity of the wiki info increase, depending on if people stick with it. Oh, and this horde of people coming to the site and sticking around to finish the quests is, at the very least, helping Whiskey Media's numbers.
@Astras: Yeah, pretty much. It's lame just sitting here and not doing anything. I'm glad they setup the quest feature. Makes the site more interesting outside the videos and bombcast. You liking it?
Alright, so I've been following Giantbomb faithfully nearly since their launch. I love watching the mailbag videos, along beside the quick looks. And I gotta say, the Giantbomb crew knows how to make my day. I rarely miss a Bombcast, and to be quite frank, solely listen to the Bombcast because I feel like all other podcasts are dry and bland, where the Bombcast just keeps the humor rolling. The guys are mega-efficient, they make quality stuff, it's evident as soon you hit up the site and view some videos/read some articles/become a Bombcast drone. Giantbomb is probably the only site I've been consistently visiting for the past couple years and I hope they keep the content at the premium quality it is today. But, I'm writing this cause of my re-energized excitement in the site, via the whole "Quest" system. It kinda gave me more inspiration to indulge into the wiki, forums, and learn more about the games I play, as well as the people that make them. I like the concept that Giantbomb brings to the table, and how they go about getting business done. I don't always have the time to play the games I look into on the site because of financial constraints and being a student, but I get on nearly every day to see what's out there and want to attempt to be more active in all things Giantbomb...or else just sit here and waste bandwidth. Hah.
