Avatar IMAX 3D was worse than a root canal. Think about it, take an average movie, throw the 3D effect fog cloud all over the film that crippled the fine details in the amazing CGI, combine that with a stretched aspect ratio to fit the IMAX screen, and you have a distorted cloudly mess of a CGI masterpiece that leaves you craving your HDTV, bluray player, and surround sound.
