It's quite sad when even the team behind Sonic games are sick of developing them. It's very disheartening to see SEGA keep pushing them to make Sonic games.

"Sega of Japan had intended NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams as a brief rest from the never-ending onslaught of Sonic game after Sonic game. In Ben's own words: "There's no doubt that Sonic Team have lost their quality touch. They are worse than talentless: they are without passion. Bored, weary, closed-minded and out of touch with any sense of what makes games good anymore." Quite simply put, after making so many of them, Sonic Team is tired of Sonic games - something Ben cites as a reason for Yuji Naka's resignation in 2006."
"In the end, what this blog really represents is that, even within their own ranks, members of Sega's staff are unhappy with the direction Sonic Team as a development studio has headed. While it was easy to assume such, we now have confirmation of internal strife between Sonic Team and their parent subsidary, Sega of Japan. In relation, this goes a long way to explain the shortcomings of games produced by Sonic Team: They are forced to work on a franchise they no longer care about, and when they do get a chance to stretch their legs, it is under tight restrictions."

Same here, same with choosing a "favorite game or all time," and for that matter, any movie, comics or book. I don't know how people can narrow their choices down so much.

Missed the joke"
Yeah, apparently I did. "
Unknowing customer: "Hey look I can get all the best songs from Guitar Hero on one disc!"
Unknowing customer: "Oh crap, it's just the first game! What the crap, it says "Greatest Hits"!

...Best way I can describe the joke.

This may be because I'm such a fan, but I don't see how Devil May Cry doesn't make it but God of War does. I'm pretty sure DMC was very influential to a lot of games, especially to God of War.

There's a lot to disagree about this and it certainly is very subjective. I don't think Guinness should have such a list like this.

"I don't believe hes trolling, I think hes sick of people saying FF7 is the 2nd comming of christ the best representation of jrpgs which some fans still do that to this day."
Yes, I believe this is the case. He doesn't exactly hate the game, but the immense popularity and how some fans won't admit that a lot of it's features are outdated and how some RPGs have since gone to implement things much better.

Granted, I can still enjoy playing FFVII today, but I can accept that a lot of it is outdated, not just in terms of graphics but also in terms of the battle system and storytelling.

"How is this video relevant to video gaming today?"
Because a lot of fans of FFVII still claim it's the best RPG ever, and it's fine for people to have that opinion, but some will just ignore and get angry when facts are presented to them.
Edit: Ocarina of Time, while popular, I don't believe has anywhere near the amount of raving fans as FFVII claiming it's the best ever.

They need to start bringing over the same games that are on Japan's PlayStation Store over to other regions. I heard Policenauts is on the Japan store, I'd love to play that game! (English version of course). Sony could be making a lot of money if they put a bunch of PS2 titles on the PSN. It's probably coming someday, but I think the time they took on Home was time they could have put into bringing older games to the PSN instead.

It's nice that they are planning for other games to appear on the store though.
