This was great! Watching this led me to pick up the original on Xbox. Loving it so far, forcing breaks since I get the feeling it’s not super long. Hope they put this one on consoles as well.

Not exaggerating when I say RDR2 is my favorite game of all time, it’s been my most anticipated game since I finished the first one 8 years ago... it went above & beyond my expectations which were through the roof.

Through the years you’ve heard Dan talk about how much he loves RDR1 and his excitement for 2 very much felt like it was on the same wavelength as mine. When it started coming out that Dan was not enjoying and eventually utterly disliking it, it really bummed me out... not at him but for him. It sucked to see a game he was so excited for completely let him down. So while I feel the polar opposite of him, I can totally understand why he fought so hard for it in most disappointing. You can go back and forth on if it deserved it with others in the room glowing over it but it was clear no one on the staff had a game come anywhere close to letting them down as much as RDR2 did Dan. Bravo to him.

With that said... I’m off to continue my second playthrough lol.

Still have 8+hours of the deliberations left but a perfect way to end the GOTY celebration. Thank each and every one of the GB crew for another amazing year. Can’t wait for 2019.

I’ve been at a loss for words trying to explain how much RDR2 means to me in way no other game has come close to. Brad just did it for me perfectly. Like others have said, always love reading Brad pieces. Thank you for all the enjoyment you have given us in 2018!

I’ve finished the story in RDR2 and now excitedly cleaning up all the side stuff to get 100%... I can honestly say no game has had me so invested in damn near everything it has to offer like this game. It seems silly to say with it being so fresh, but I truly believe it is my favorite game of all time.

With that said... I can 100% see Dans point/frustration with it. It is a LOT to take in & at times it feels like it’s actively pushing against you enjoying it. The story got me through those instances and while I absolutely enjoy the gameplay, it does feel like it is the weakest part of the game.
