Here's a good solution I've found: I started downloading videos off the site (another premium perk), putting them on an external drive, and plugging that drive into my Roku player (certain models have a USB port) so as to watch them on my TV.
I checked a few things just now. The video version of this week's Podcast, and the just-posted Jar Time both seem to work fine. The latest Demo Derby and the For Honor Quick Look are still out of sync.
This was before I just checked the forum now, so thanks for the update.
I've had this issue before on my Roku box, prior to the current audio sync issues. It's happened mostly with UPFs for me. I would just start playing it from the beginning, then fast forward a little past the point it stopped, and it would play normally from there.
Just chiming in that I have identical issues on the Roku (mine is a 2XS) regarding the most recent videos (previous just from the New York studio, migrating over to SF videos). I'll just rely on my computer until then.
I'm vacationing in Arizona at the moment (I know a couple people here) and personally, the social aspect really came to light for me last night when I was out with an old college friend. Super pop culture-savvy guy a little younger than me that plays it, as does his girlfriend. At the end of dinner, our waitress asked if any of us played it, and when we said yes, she flipped out in joy and informed us that multiple corners on or near the street we were on had spots that acted as landmarks in the game. My friend then brings up that this area was only the second time in the country where a Mewtwo was caught. Sure enough, we leave the restaurant, we go down to one of these corners, and we see other people catching Pokemon.
A good amount of my friends on Facebook have been posting about it.
