I'd go with something like Gothic 2 - beware the dated graphics and clunky controls - , Risen - I dare say it's their best game after Gothic 2 - or even Risen 3 - huge gameworld, tons of content but the "YARRR" pirate/caribbean setting isn't for everyone.

If you don't mind spending $50 on an experiment, you can also buy Elex, but you are basically spending $45 more than you need to see if you like their games.

And you should play it regardless of the price. It's a PB game. If you like Gothic you'll like Risen. Let's face it: Piranha Bytes are making the same damn game everytime... and I love it.

I seriously don't get the hype around new Mario games. What's so great about this? The running, the jumping, the coins... ?
