I played this on my first sort of decent computer ((an I Buy Power, I think) I had just gotten into pc games some short years earlier. Loved this game, and it's 2 stand alones also. Went back as usual later and could not get past the graphics for replay. Things were changing fast...
The Finches would like to have a word with you! But they are more an anomaly so far than anything else on that level. A hint of discord here and there, perhaps.
I haven't done too much with sophisticated house building, beyond a felt loyalty to the Minuteman cause. But this I almost find almost stifling (including the actual mechanics) since I want to do so much else, and I have to keep looking at the left upper corner of my screen for some deadline looming. It drove me to Local Leader to ease the hassle, though I was reluctant to put points there.
I am satisfied with my rather decent traveling character (Beavis) and his dog, and am very good with weapons. I also do pack an ample supply of med-x and refreshing drink to keep the questions starving.
Vinny really does need to voice alien baby seal voices. My Persona 4 thing came and went with the Endurance run. And I tend to not cope well with many Japanese games of this ilk. But this particular game does have high production values.
This review finally did what the anxiety/jank threads could not, piss me off at the consoles. Or the game designed for the consoles. Or something inbetween.
I almost considered my PS4 for Fallout 4, just to give it some business. But once again I opted for my PC. The game runs nicely so far. This has been a better game to look at than Fallout 3 despite the same old engine with a tune up and some new performance parts.
Thank you Jeff for the well developed review, and also the QL.
