My friend has tried for ages to get me into the Blank Check podcast - he's heard them many times repeated.

For me unfortunately, my interest in movies have declined as much as the poles are melting.

But he can't get his hands down about it, it's supposedly really great :)

I couldn't resist, and It appears nobody else has done this yet.. I've shamelessly stolen from the original BBB1 picture, posted by @azteck, some eight years ago - thanks! (https://www.giantbomb.com/forums/off-topic-31/hilariously-misspelt-game-names-the-game-444389/?page=4)

Thank you @UnintendedBM, wow, thank you so much, @j_unit2008!!

Very helpful indeed. That's so great, exactly what I wished for, thank you for taking your time to write it out! I'll definitely try to check out some of the restaurants and bars. And Hollow Mountain Comics sounds awesome!

Hi everyone!

I've gotten the possibility of attending the Meaningful Games Conference in East Lansing in a couple of weeks.

I'm flying from Denmark and driving from Chicago to East Lansing, where the conference is held.

I don't if I'll have any free time for things other than the conference, but just in case I felt like asking about tips for the city or on the way over there.

It can be anything from places to eat, sites to see (nature and otherwise) or just something you know of and like.

Thanks in advance!

You'll be fine. The game has several ways to which you more or less just have to spam a button.

I think it's a bit strange that there is so much focus on the game's mechanics standing in the way of enjoying it. At worst, I feel it's the exact same situation as Wolfenstein II: Just put it on easy and breeze through it. In my mind it's literally the same exercise.

I actually also just started walking down the audiophile path. A few years ago my wife(she's a Sound Designer) gave me a couple of AKG K612 Pro's which I consider really good (very broad soundstage), only downside was at that point I wasn't really into the whole dac/preamp thing, so they stayed at home because my phone couldn't drive enough power to them: flash forward to this winter where I needed a headet and suddenly found myself researching a lot. I've ended up with a pair of B&W P7's powered by a Black Dragonfly for HiFi on my commute and then Dragonfly + K612s at work. The next step would probably be somewhere around OPs setup, with a Red Dragonfly and a pair of planar magnetic headphones. It's great to have found a new hobby! So many new sounds found in old goodies!

In a similar interest, I've been wanting to ask about Dark Souls 3 vs Nioh for some time, sorry for doing it here, hope it's alright:

Hey duder, congrats on the return. Myself I'm just coming off Nier Automata, and after also playing in general alot these past months, I need a breather before Persona 5, although I think about buying everyday ;)

Nier Automata is an experience I rank up there with Dark Souls, Life is Strange, Braid, Fez, The Walking Dead. Ie. GOTY material. Don't sleep on it.

I agree with Jim Sterling on this one :

"Nier itself is important. It is, as far as I’m concerned, historically significant in terms of its design and the way in which it uses the framework of a videogame to tell an evolving story. If I had my way, every budding game developer would play this game to the point of acquiring endings A, B, C, D, and E before acquiescing to its final and alarmingly direct request.

Few games are able to showcase the power of the medium like Nier: Automata.

If history forgets this game, then fuck history." - Jim Sterling

By all means, keep at it, you won't regret it. And if you feel bored, try pressing triangle a few times close to an enemy..
