I was a big fan of the GameRadar/TalkRadar guys before they all kind of went and did their own thing. Specifically Brett Elston and Chris Antista were my favorites. Two totally different styles but I really respected what they brought to the table.

I think people are just growing complacent with the current generation and franchises. I thought the Smart Glass stuff was fantastic, but thought it maybe went on a bit long. I think given the tepid response Kinect has received amongst core gamers, it's understandable to want to cringe when it feels like Kinect support is being shoehorned into already fine games.

I was following the chat on GameTrailers when watching the EA presser and could only shake my head at the incessant bitching when EA Sports took the stage. Despite what most people think, those games sell like hotcakes and transcend the core/casual labels.

This Ubisoft press conference though... has been awesome.

I follow some of the people that are in Maddens fake twitter feed. There are just differing degrees of being a fan, Alex.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. I had a few days where I was banking a ton of coin selling 40-early 50's gear, only to have that market dry up. It's crazy.

I've gotten hit up at my local Home Depot a couple times in the last few months. I totally didn't believe either of their stories but I decided if they're that low of a person to feel the need lie for money, they need it more than I do.

Plus, building up some good karma never hurt anyone.

The one that sticks out to me was a dude pulled up in his van and said, "How are you doing sir? I'm a friendly black guy. I'm not in a gang or nothing, I'm friendly." He went onto tell me some story of how he was a war vet and was from the other side of the state and how he was driving across the state for one reason or another with his girlfriend (who looked like a meth addict) and their dog (both were in the van) and something in his car F'ed up and the replacement piece was $22. I told him I didn't have any cash (which was the truth) and he was quick to point out there was a nearby ATM. I told him OK but I totally intended on just driving off but he followed me up to the ATM in his van. I gave the guy $20. He was super appreciative and tried to give me a piece of paper to write my address on so "he could mail me the money back". I'm not stupid so I just told him it was my good deed for the day and to have a nice day.

"Bobby will take care of you. … Don't worry about repercussions."

That's mafia-esque shit!

I just claimed mine too. Very unexpected but a welcome surprise.

Starhawk. I don't think Minecraft translates well into a 90 minute TNT session.

I'd guess Rorie over Gallup in the finals.
