I'm curious to know if the diagonal jump stamina exploit survived in the remake. It was the only way of getting to the secret garden without beating the game 4 times to have a large enough stamina meter. I'm also curious if there's anything new in the secret garden, there was always so much mystery surrounding it in the original game.
Man, I found this video to be a bummer. Yeah, it's using a fantastic engine, but to what end? Poking idiot enemies with a stick through an eight foot wide fence that they should easily be able to walk around?
What made MGS5 great was the wide array of interesting tools to use, the intuitiveness and variety in using them, and enemies capable enough to demand creativity in utilizing your toolbox. None of that is demonstrated here.
Oh man. They took off the timecode and the seek so that we can't spoil ourselves.
That's wonderful
That's actually one of the features of my Chrome/Firefox extension Giant Bomb QoL. If you find it annoying, you can turn it off in the extension's options page.
One of the duders was playing this during the GB Community Stream a couple weekends ago, and it looked pretty cool. He was able to select characters just fine every time he started a new run, so it's weird that Ben wasn't able to. I really dig the ancient Egypt aesthetic. but man is the redneck stuff dumb.
You have to get the good ending to get the achievement.
There's an NPC that appears at the beginning of levels 2, 4, 6, and 8 who will tell you which skulls and in which order to lift in the final level. Be careful that you don't attack him, because it will kill him.
Use the item you get from that to interact with the bleeding monster, then beat the final boss.
I'm really digging the game so far. Excellent writing, music (the song that plays when you hang out with your rat children is divine), and world building. Developers are saying they're seeing play times of 6-12 hours, depending on how much optional stuff you do.
