I have played Guild Wars off and on since May 2005, and I have to be honest in saying that it is one of those games that you can always come back to. I have had such good replay value with it as well. I still have my first two characters I created back about 43 months ago, and that's all I need for PvE. I have pimped out both of them, and around a year into playing the game, I moved completely to PvP.
That said, the Guild Wars PvP is one of the best of all MMO games. Now it used to be a lot better, when there were a lot more skilled players playing it (I'm talking mainly about GvG and the ladder), but it is still a very good PvP experience none the less. I've been in my fair share of guilds, and if you get caught up in the PvP world of GW, you start to make alliances and enemies really fast. There is even a gossip aspect to the PvP in the game, about other players/guilds.
The population has died slightly since it's release, but at the same time, there are still TONS of players playing this game. You shouldn't be worried about not being able to find someone to play with.
Guild Wars is an amazing game, in which you should play it if you have not yet. For the price you pay, there is so much content that can keep you playing for hours and hours. I personally can't wait till Guild Wars 2.
"Listening to Brad's voice is like sliding down a hill made of silly putty, naked, covered in vaseline, into an enourmous pile of feather pillows and bean bag chairs."
Very impressive. though you could do without the feathers. Nvm that'd be sick.
I love Brad's voice because it has a rasp to it, that combined with the Barry White like lows, give me a motivational thrust. Pelvic thrust, that is.
Phew.. newest Bombcast is out, and I have been satisfied.. :) I don't know what they were talking about with Brad' voice, I thought it sounded wonderful. hahaha
