I want to hug Peter Molyneux.

I think the man himself is fantastic, I could listen to him talk about his games, the games industry and game design all day. I would pay to hear him just talk my ears off about game design actually. He's such an enthusiastic guy that I really think the games industry would be quite boring without him, and other characters like him.

He seems to be so sincere as well that I would like to hug him. And because he is such a sincere and possibly crazy guy, I'm fairly sure that if I asked, he would hug me!

I'm thinking of starting a campaign just so I can hug Peter Molyneux.

Insane? Y/n? :D

Some people that say Sonic games have been going down hill since the MegaDrive need to get a grip and look at his games a bit closer. It's been more of a roller-coaster than a downward spiral.

Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 were both good, high scoring games when they were released. Sonic Heroes may not have had the same charm, but after that we Sonic Advance, then Shadow the Hedgehog which obviously wasn't as good, followed by Sonic Rush, a critically acclaimed Sonic game, then Sonic 06 which was rubbish, followed by Sonic and the Secret Rings which also received favourable reviews, and Sonic Rush Adventure, which has received favourable reviews. That doesn't look like a downward spiral to me.

We have Sonic Chronicles and Sonic Unleashed on the horizon. Sonic Chronicles is made by Bioware, and Sonic Unleashed uses the Hedgehog engine which has been in development for two years. Sega have been listening to the criticisms of the past few 3D Sonic games, of course they will try and make Sonic Unleashed the best 3D outing Sonic could have. They're not likely to let one of their key franchises die. Just because he's had a few bad games over the past few years doesn't mean that the rest of his games are worthless as well. Hell, even Mario has had some rubbish games and spin-offs, but people don't suddenly jump on the hate bandwagon and start proclaiming his death.

There are only 334 pieces of clothing items in the game that I am aware of, but you only need 333 for the achievement and 100% completion achievement.

I know the game as Soleil and used to play it quite a lot. Sonic does indeed make a cameo appearence. I can't remember what he says, but he's kinda laid out on a table and you can speak to him in a similar way that you can speak to the animals, but that's pretty much it.I can't find a screenshot of it though, maybe someone with a rom could find a pic of it?

According to Sonic canon, Dr Robotnik is his real name, but he adopted the alias of Dr Eggman for himself.

Originally, in Japan, Dr Eggman was always Dr Eggman. But for some reason he was introduced as Dr Robotnik within the US and European games. When Sonic Adventure was released, Sonic Team tried to bring the two names together by introducing him as Dr Robotnik, but Sonic and friends would mock the doctor by calling him 'Eggman'. Then within Sonic Adventure 2 he started referring to himself as Dr Eggman, and the name has stuck since.

So much Sonic bashing and negativity. Every series has it's highs and lows, if Nintendo started churning out crap Mario games, would we want to see them end the series too, would we remember that they used to make quality Mario titles and will return to form eventually? I would be really saddened if Sega dropped Sonic altogether. He has done so much for Sega as a business and will continued to be marketed as such.

I think the daytime stages of Sonic Unleashed represents everything that people want from a Sonic game, and if they manage to pull off the gameplay mechanics, then it will work. A mix of 2D and 3D platforming and speed. The trailers so far have really impressed me. The only thing that was drastically wrong with the Sonic Adventure games was a bad camera angle and a few gameplay glitches, other than that they were both enjoyable games. If Sega could make a game engine which ironed out those kinks and introduced a camera system that worked well with Sonic's speed and gameplay, then we're pretty much there.

The recent storylines AKA Sonic 06 have been somewhat dire though. But do people really play platform games for the story?

I've completed it so many times I've lost count. Might be because it's so short and easy haha.

Playing it again recently in preperation for Fable 2.
