@bummey: I also have seen this too. The crash also happens if you select the E3 category and scroll along. Seems to be something to do with the length of the videos?
Using the Beta channel and as of today it has been updated and is no longer usable. The video is playing slowly causing the audio to go out of sync within a few seconds. This is seen on the latest Game Tapes watching on a Roku box which is about year old. Had this problem a while back when the video would only play in a high bitrate which the box can't handle. Hopefully the developer can put this fallback back in the app?! Is anyone else seeing this?
Using Roku 2 (2016) and have the same problem with the beta app. Lost all of the shows, seems to be the structure of content is all messed up. Hopefully it is easily put back again?
Just flagging this thread again for @rorie and @frobie as they might have missed it.
@frobie: Thanks for this, I can confirm the audio bug/lag has gone on that new version.
My only bit of feedback is the "shows" method for displaying content is nice however it does mean some videos are left out. The most obvious is "events" and "features" which contains all of the E3 and Extra life coverage. I suspect this is more to do with that content not being given a "show" category in the first place. Not a fault of the app, but could be annoying if future videos are not attached to a "show" category.
Getting the same static/freeze as others. I found if you don't press back and just wait the Roku tries to load and just locks. It then did a full reboot. Hopefully the CBSi Dev (forgot name, sorry) can look into this?
The beta app is working well for me since the recent update. Resume works well. It would be nice to have the additions of search and live shows but I am not sure if that is actually possible. Overall it feels like an improvement and pretty stable too.
Thanks for making this app @spencer . I have been making use of it during E3 and it is great. One simple suggestion for the next update however..
I use the Xbox One media remote for video apps like this. The remote doesn't have a X or Y button so I can't search or refresh. Could you make it so those features can be selected and not just rely on a button press? Keep up the good work.
@bigcat8: Yes this is high on my list too. Whilst I can watch non premium live streams on YouTube on Roku, I miss the others. It should be possible as I have seen it on other Roku channels. If they take a look at *cough* IGN's Roku Channel it supports live streams.
