@yourbrain: Try pressing the star * key on your Roku remote. It brings up the Premium link interface. However once you have done that you probably need to reload the app to get the videos to play.
I would also add that some of the show categories are missing such as no separate listing for UPF. I also noticed that the Quick Look category is listed twice. The final thing which would be great is if we could watch live premium streams on there, which I assume it doesn't do??
Like many of you I was pleased to find a brand new Roku Channel has been pushed out today. I am not sure if I have got it because I am using the Beta channel or it is available for all.
If you haven't seen it yet, it looks great and arranges #content by "Shows" rather than categories. For example there is a dedicated section for This is the run or Jar Time.
However there is a problem ... Most of the videos won't play! For example in the case of Murder Island, the test stream will play but the two most recent videos wont load. Hopefully the developers know this but if not can this note be passed along?
Posted here, rather than sending in to make sure it is not just me?
@waronhugs: Yes it looks like this is pretty common with the "beta" channel. Before that I didn't notice it, but seems to be on all recent videos. Very odd.
Similar to other comments, Im using the unpublished/beta channel. Audio sync is no longer a problem. However audio quality is now poor, with crackle and peaking on recent videos (Quick look Horizon zero dawn, is a prime example). Seems to be a compression issue.
Yes agree improvement seen on UPF. The audio is in sync. I am finding I am getting a lot of buffering (every 2 mins) and quality is lower than before (sub 720p). However it is getting better!
@rorie: Thanks. Yes can confirm both GBEast "live" videos have the audio problem. UPF seems fine, but buffers every few seconds. The Best of video from the weekend plays fine. Agree with others seems the Roku has issues playing 1080p in the channel. Hopefully that will give you enough to start making enquiries. Thanks for your help.
Just echoing others and aware @rorie: is very much on it....
This last week's UPF (28th Oct) cuts off after about 10 minutes. I watch most GB content through Roku and the issue seems to only be with videos longer than 1hr 15mins. For example I watched most of the Shenmue endurance without a hitch as those videos were all about an hour. However most Hitman videos (1hr 30+) cut off unexpectedly. Hope this helps narrow down the issue.
