@kdr_11k: Ooooh, a roguelike, you say? Now, I'm in. I had just assumed it was another sorta "standard" weird first-person indie story-based game...thing. Hearing it's a roguelike makes me exponentially more interested in this game now.
Well that killed about 50 % of my interest. I was hoping for a real storydriven first person experience to be honest.
Very excited to see what ever this thing is. I'm a huge Uncharted fan so what ever behind the scenes look I can get at these games I gladly take.
Edit: Holy moly! Seeing Uncharted 1 after having just played and currently replaying Uncharted 4 is like day and night. It's crazy how much have happened since then graphically. You don't really notice how big the jump actually is when you constantly play new games as they come out. Of course you see gradual improvements over time, Uncharted 2 was a crazy big improvement though, but just seeing it this clearly contrasted in kind of crazy.
Also seeing this makes me want to play Uncharted 2 yet again. That would only be the seventh or eight time I beat it then. I think it's safe to say now that Uncharted 2 is one of the most important games of last generation. Just talking about how much it moved ahead of anything in else on the consoles at that time. Not only was it a graphical powerhouse but it just pushed the boundaries of what I thought was possible in gaming at that time. The collapsing hotel, the train sequence... man, Uncharted 2 was and is still a damn awesome game.
Oh boy I'm going to buy that Uncharted collection after all aren't I? I guess it is going to happen at some point and seeing this certainly makes me want to replay them again.
What an awesome series of games!
Edit edit: Also do more of this in the future GB. Do a lot more of these. I would love to hear more of this behind the scenes stuff. It's cool to hear from people like the programmers what they do? Also I think it would be great if you could get a video game composer on in this series. I would love to hear the process of composing music for a video game.
Last edit: But for the future it would probably be a good idea to get a third person to play the game, so the person asking the questions wouldn't have to concentrate on playing the game.
Hmm not the best Mario Party Party. I think this might be my second least favorite of all the MPPs. Maybe it was a bad map or maybe MP6 is just a bad game in an already terrible franchise. But the lack of randomness coupled with the fact that Dan just pulled way ahead and kept the lead for the rest of the game killed a lot of the fun of this series.
Also a dissapointing lack of mic use. Are there any other Gamecube games that use the mic or was it just made for MP 6? If the latter is the case they really fucked up when making this game by not making it a bigger part of the game.
Not a critique of the players. Dan, Brad, Drew and Jeff did what they could with a boring game. That was the worst thing about this specific game. It was not terrible bad in a fun way. It was just boring. Like others have said they should probably just stick with the default map for the rest of the MP games.
But with all that being said I was still somewhat entertained and that's says a lot about the GB crew and especially Jeff's ability to keep things entertaining.
This really makes me want to play Hitman but seeing as they have showed so much of the first two episodes, I don't feel like playing them myself now. On the other hand this series is pretty fun so I don't mind watching it.
The more I see of this game the more the episodic episodes formular seems to make sense for this game. First of all the levels are HUGE and there's a ton of stuff to do in each level. But if the game was "just" released as one big game to begin with I would just breeze through the levels. Meaning I would find whatever method that would work for me for completing that level and then I would never play the same level twice. Therefore I would miss out on a ton of stuff. But by having the levels roll out over time you don't have the same drive to constantly move onward. You actually want to just mess around and see all the crazy stuff that's hidden in each level because you are not in a hurry.
