  • Even number of syllables with an accent on every odd syllable (e.g. Raptor Jesus)
  • Can be shortened to a single syllable for quick communication
  • Unique across most platforms
  • Not too embarrassing to say out loud
  • Can be interpreted multiple ways
  • Involve something about cats

Great at the time. I'm not sure it'll hold up as time goes on.

I was just thinking about the game "Love" with all the recent No Man's Sky stuff because they both seem to have tiny teams and make heavy use of procedurally generated worlds. I haven't played it so I can't help you out, but it'd be super interesting to hear how it is these days.

In Titanfall 2, the rodeo pilot steals a battery and damages an enemy Titan. If they can give that battery to a friendly Titan, the Titan receives a shield and the Pilot gets Titan meter points. As players become more familiar with the system, we expect that Titans will live longer. This is an area we will continue to monitor leading up to launch.

Ohhhh, so that's what those things were. I wasn't sure if those were spawning randomly on the map and if they were reducing my ability cooldown or wtf they did. Makes a lot of sense now.

I never get a chance to say it, but I really do appreciate all the work you and the other mods on here have done over the years. This is one of the most well maintained forums on any website, and it's really thanks to you all.

After using the update in preview for a while, I was most excited about the store. Separating "coming soon" stuff into it's own views is fantastic for actually seeing what's "new" and not having to scroll through a bunch of crap, and there are some other filters in there that are nice to have.

However, navigating the store seems incredibly slow at times, and there appears to be some kind of memory leak where if you do too much, eventually it slows to a crawl and just crashes.

The lack of background music is a bit of a faux pas. I mean, why launch it if it isn't ready? Unless I'm missing something?

You're not missing anything. Almost none of the apps have been updated to support it. I think the podcasting app is the only one.

The wirecutter has an article about what they think are some of the best deals on stuff actually worth buying in case you don't feel like wading through thousands of items.

Strange thing I noticed when I was in Budapest two years ago: soda/mineral water was the default for everything. It was what they'd give you if you ask for water, unless you specify "flat" water. In convenience stores, soda water was sold in clear bottles, while all the flat water had pastel pink caps and labels like you would see on something marketed only to women in the US. I was never able to ask anyone about it -- any international people who might confirm that "flat" water is "for girls" in some places?

That might seem like a lot, but I swear you'll feel 100% more productive once you get it set up how you like it.

I thought we were talking about Forza Horizon there for a bit and I was like "wait, the second one was in Europe... also, post apocalyptic Forza Horizon?"

Nope, it's not that.

Oh weird, I totally forgot Forza Horizon 1 was set in Colorado too. Apparently if you set your game in Colorado it's gotta have "horizon" in the title.
