@murdoc_: There is some sort of retrospective hidden in the internet wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20100502114201/http://thegamingliberty.com/index.php/2010/01/07/sentient-we-turn-to-the-skies/

I enjoyed this video tremendously. It reminded me how I tried back in the day play this game with a friend of mine. Madness!

Alex hitting the floor few moments before the NPCs did the same was magical.

Here is few things I hoped that the guys would stumble upon (that can happen in about 30 minutes worth of playing [but Sentient being Sentient and not the PSX-version...]):

Those who wish to know bit more about this strange game, check out this Sentient article on Hardcore Gaming 101.

Thanks for those who voted this, we turn to the skies and you all truly own a book..

Yeah, criminals all the time seem to fight off the police dogs and those dogs are smaller than wild wolfs. Somebody make Dan vs. wild wolf happen (premium content).

Looks OK and the setting is really neat, but that gameplay just looks extremely boring. At this point I would probably enjoy this more if it was pure stealth only game or even something stranger like open world murder mystery.

I am just here to say that who ever voted "Life is Strange" has a terrible, bland taste and I hope they enjoy their lifes working in the toll booths and data entry jobs. Note: I like LIS, I just think that it is terribly boring game to watch people trying to riff it.

I'm sure it's probably an unfair comparison, but strikes to me have always seemed obnoxious, like a child crying in a grocery store because their parent won't buy them sweets.

I would hope the world we live in is reasonable enough to allow change when things are going especially shitty without resulting to such nonsense.

Without strikes employees would have less leverage against their employers. Employers in the other hand have large leverage by default (controls your money, thus your ability to buy food, pay rent etc.) and mostly have no incentives to react to the changing conditions (like for example: if buying power of the currency goes down or "Holy shit! This industry got really dangerous without proper protecting gear!"). Just read about what industrial era working was before unions and strikes - I think the "kid and candy" thoughts will fade away.
