This thread is pretty gross to be honest. If anyone doesn’t want to support Nextlander financially they don’t have to, but it’s not cool to make it seem clandestine or scandalous.
I love the work these guys do and I’m happy to pay them for it. Plain and simple.
It depends. If it’s a game I’m really looking forward to (and it reviews well) I’ll buy it at/near launch for full price. If it’s something that looks cool but I’m not dying to play I usually wait for a sale.
I will more than likely buy Ratchet for $70, but I’ll wait for Returnal to be in the $30 range.
I don’t have a lot of time to play games anymore either, so I’m more likely to pay full price for a game I really want, since it will usually last me a while. When I was younger I would buy games constantly and always try to get them for under $40.
First off, I’d recommend shopping somewhere like Save a lot or Aldi if they’re available to you. Aldi especially has a really good variety and a lot of healthy and organic options for really good prices( I swear this isn’t a plug).
This is going to sound harsh, but I don’t mean it to: why is this even an open world RPG?
To me the game has a good story and main cast, but all the stuff around the edges (Night City, side quests, exploring, etc.) has been pretty unremarkable.
I feel like this could have been like a Bioshock game that’s more linear and it would have been more impactful.
