@austin_walker: Thanks Austin. I'm by no means in a position where I'm not earning decently, but the price of gaming, groceries, housing, etc definitely all adds up... which means I (and a lot of other Canadians) don't have the option to easily plop down money for a new release. It's pretty shitty to see a game go on sale in Canada when said sale is actually just the regular price a retail game used to be 2 years ago.
I think the worst example is the PS4's price. It launched at $400 CAD, then got a price increase to $450. It's now $430, not even at the launch price yet..
If I can't buy the special edition with all the games on one cart, then I'm just not gonna buy the game at all. So that's Nintendo's bad for breaking the game out the way they did.
Are you just opposed to having some or all of it digitally? It ends up being the same price either way.
I'm opposed to buying anything digitally from Nintendo. The day they fix their stupid archaic network, where stuff is linked per account as opposed to per system, then I might consider buying digitally. How stupid is it that in order to get your games on a new system you have to system transfer...? This is 2016.
@missashley: Sounds like Birthright might be best for you, like Awakening it's easier to grind/level up characters. Conquest plays more like Sacred Stones.
wait what? you have to buy each "path" separately?
Reuse 70% of the assets, charge 100% of the price. Welcome to the glorious future of the games industry.
Only the first 5 (maybe 6) chapters are the same, after that each version plays very differently. It's more like the Zelda Oracle games than the different versions on Pokemon.
@luck702: @richardpie: @hewitt: First time listening to the Bombcast? :P He's brought up his engagement/cake tasting like every other month for a while now.
