...Really? The difference is that Sony's network got compromised, with personal information that was leaked, including credit card information. They're response was a bunch of games that most PS3 owners already had, and a 'tough shit' attitude if you already owned them. This was a huge leak of personal information, and they games they releae also costed them very little.
PSN is free. You can't expect them to give people money especially considering how easy it is to make an account. Second, they we're attacked. Sure they could have done something better to protect their users, but I'm sure majority of large corporations out there would have been just as vulnerable if they were in the same situation.
Point is, all of the mistakes made by Nintendo so far was their fault. I'm not saying what they are offering to compensate those who are affected isn't as good as what Sony offered. It's just easier to be critical of them because they did this to the users directly.
