So after working five years at everyone's favorite company (GameStop) I was suspended and soon to be let go it seems like.

Pretty much the story goes, one night an employee ended up stealing something, now the next day, me (and the store manager, I am the third key in charge) found out the product was missing from the store, so after a bit of searching and reviewing tape, we found the person responsible. So he took over and alerted the district manager and are loss prevention agent. Now to make a long story short, the employee was fired and everything seemed alright. Then 2 weeks later (This Thursday morning) are district manager and loss prevention agent came in, I figured they wanted a follow up so they asked me to go into the back room. So they proceeded to ask many questions on procedures and so on, but then I was being accused of letting the item be stolen since I was the manager on duty and it was my fault the store loss product (tho we ended up getting it back). So then they went back into the last 5 years I was working for them and they picked apart every transaction I did and saying all the stuff I did wrong, So after that they asked me to write a statement and they proceeded to suspend me until the higher ups come up with a decision which could take a day to a full week.

So as they took my keys away I went out to clock out since I couldn't finish my shift, my manager came up to me, patted me on the back and said how sorry he was that happened and he had no control over it and if I needed a reference I could use him as one. So now its been almost three days and still haven't heard from my district manager about my suspension status.

And tonight I get an email from my assistant manager. (gonna leave out names)

Hey Man its *****

Dude I am really sorry with whatever happened I feel really bad, I mean to call you that day but I just was so busy and got caught up with a bunch of stuff. I tried calling you to talk to you for a bit but I go no answer.

Whatever happened that day with *** or whatever he said you know I know its bullshit. I just want to let you know that I will still be your friend no matter what and if you need any recommendation for a job I will cover you

anytime, I will also say that you got laid off.

Please reply or call my home cause I cant find my phone.

If you get this today call me I will be awake for a while doing homework

After working with these guys for 5 years and one day have it end, well there's really no words for it. Now I'm at home, filling out applications and getting my resume together to see if I can get lucky and get a job this close to the holiday season.

Well that is how my life turned to shit in under an hour (took an hour for them to suspend me). I know its quite a bit to read but if you have, thanks for listening (well reading)

Looks like I'll have a bit of time to catch up on some games.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I've been waiting a long time for amazing wild west game, something to remind me of those old Clint Eastwood movies i saw back in the day. A game where i can do anything i want and live out my wild west dream. Red Dead redemption is looking like it will exceed my expectations, I already knew the single player was going to be good, but the whole multiplayer side ha just blown me away from what they announced. From the shootouts to start off normal matches to the 16 player whole world lobby system and 8 player posses. My only complaint is that its still a month away.
