Even if he isn't hands on, Kojima will certainly have a hand in crafting various Silent Hills' sure to be totally ludicrous plot twists, for better or worse.
Anyone who paid attention to the plot of Far Cry 3 should very much be concerned about the imagery of the Far Cry 4 cover. I won't jump to conclusions until I actually witness the plot, but the previous Far Cry games do not provide confidence that the fourth one will be much better. I think the protagonist is a native of the region this time so that at least provides some positive belief against the "helpless natives" needing to be saved by the "European White male" just passing through.
Exactly. And it wasn't even just a "European White Male." He (and his co-horts) are the most selfish and unqualified white people on Earth for the task at hand. I don't know what the writer thought he was writing, but it wasn't what he claimed it was in post release interviews. I loved almost everything else about Far Cry 3, though.
Competition is healthy but it doesn't have to be Microsoft. They should be replaced by a fully competent Nintendo. Microsoft has brought nothing to the table this generation, only anger by trying to take things from people. Microsoft have shown to be detrimental to indies time and time again. The console is not even out for a full six months in most of europe.
I say the return of the king is due, SEGA. A three-way bout between Nintendo, Sony and SEGA would actually drive things forward.
Per your comment that Microsoft has brought nothing to the table: By that logic, neither has Sony. Sony just happened to not attempt to enact policy that angered gamers. The systems are early, and I think it's fair to say that they have bought roughly the same amount to the table so far, whether one thinks it's a lot or very little.
C'mon guys, even if you want to criticize PK's choice of interviewees, perhaps we could request other opinions that we all may be interested in, instead of yelling that he didn't ask who you wanted him to ask. Personally, I wouldn't mind some comments from some males in the industry, and perhaps some of the target demographic in the UK. But, there's nothing wrong with getting the opinions of females in the industry, especially considering the form of the statue presented here.
The game seemed to establish that you become a zombie if you die (sans dying by shot to the head), not if you become bitten. I guess you do become a zombie also if you've been bitten? I don't remember the game establishing that, so I was very confused as to why being bitten at the end was a big deal.
@crswaites: I think it was less seeing the twist coming, and more that we already saw this scene in The Book of Eli, a movie written by Gary Whitta, who is a story consultant on this game. The game also gives you strategic options to not reveal everything about your group to the new people, yet the game then later forces you to give up info I was previously withholding and then you are forced to blindly trust these people. What was the point of giving me all these choices if the game is just going to force me to go down a path that any normal person would have seen coming a mile away?
