Thanks guys. It looks like Mario is the safer option here. My daughter already plays plenty of Stardew on my computer. She likes games, but these open world adventures are not quite her speed yet.

Personally, i want to play Zelda, but we are not getting it just so I can play on it.

Came to the bug forums to make a thread about this. I'm still experiencing this loop in Chrome. Mostly in the longer videos as i'm noticing it a bunch now that I'm rewatching Beast in the East.

@mikewhy: Yeah, that's why I wrote and deleted this thread numerous times.

Genre definition is a sisyphean task. If people want to bicker that there's a difference between "action/adventure", "action", and "adventure", go ahead. I'll be happy with labels like "action" and "adventure".

My steam classification makes sense to me only. And it helps that I don't have to think too hard to define what each genre means.

Brother, I have Action, Adventure, and Action/adventure categories. Each with like 20 games in them.

I really don't want this thread to get too complicated and devolve into a fight. I'm just asking because I'd like to see other people's opinions.

This was supposed to be a poll, but I can't make one right now.

This is a topic I must've written and deleted like 5 times. I know how annoying it is to classify games into genres, especially games like this. But this is how I have my 500+ games on Steam categorized. Currently I have Yakuza 0 under the action/adventure genre. This is where I place action games that have RPG elements but are not real RPGs (Legend of Zelda type games like Darksiders or the Arkham Asylum games).

But Yakuza 0 seems like a real RPG as well with the side quests and decision based outcomes. Basically, I'm torn.

So, if you had to pick one genre of the two above. What would you pick?

It's not even a good poll. But I can't make it.

Sorry if this isn't the place to post this.

Naked Snake started it all, he's the legend. But I have a fondness for Solid Snake.
