Hate to say it but I guess I wont have much reason to go to Tested anymore. Sounds like he will still be around a bit on podcasts and stuff but Dave said the same thing and whens the last time we saw him on GB.
Still best of luck to him and his new company. Will be interesting to see what it turns into when its up and running.
The funny thing is I still see Dave from time to time on Tested.
I'm going for a totally new build (coming from a q9300). Seems like there's a big debate over whether a 6-core Haswell cpu is better than Skylake (in my case, i7-5820k vs i7-6700k). I was going to go straight for Skylake, but actually the 5820k is $50 cheaper right now at Microcenter, and I hear gaming performance for both is almost identical overclocked, so why not the extra cores? It's a lot to take in for someone who hasn't built a new PC since the aforementioned q9300. Anyone have any quick thoughts on the matter?
Stuff like this makes me wonder if going with a 6-core processor over Skylake would be a better option if I wanted to do recordings and general video editing and still play games at max settings at the same time.
It's too bad. A bunch of those ppl are great voice actors in other things in addition to normal acting too. Wish there was a story worthy of their talents.
I used to enjoy playing, but I got bored of it when my friends fell off. And I don't really enjoy watching Dota itself, but I "watch" all the Dota content on the site for Brad, Crispy, et al. It's become more like a niche, aimless podcast for me where I'm just listening to them, not actually watching.
@brodehouse: I don't really know anything about how SWAT are trained for these situations, but I would assume that officer safety comes first because if they're injured or incapacitated, they won't be helping anyone anyway. Maybe it's not a perfect analogy, but as a lifeguard, you save yourself from drowning first, otherwise you're no help to the person in distress.
