I wonder how much the js job pays.

Fez feels like it's further away now than it's ever been.

This is a lot of whining and I agree with 100% of it.

This big issue for me is the falling over dead for no reason (and then I see the killcam). I have a 5ms ping to the local CO (which is directly attached to MAE East) and usually have sub-50ms pings to hosts. I have a tv that has a game mode that puts time-to-screen in the sub 12 ms range (I need to double check that). I have one of the best FPS gaming situations you can have and yet I'm often half to a full second behind everyone else. It's a bummer, but it's a video game, so fuck it.

My NAT type is open, and my speed is excellent for everything EXCEPT MW3. Everyone I play with I hear complain about getting hit markers with no kills, even in hardcore.

At best, $170 puts this in the realm of "possible" as a christmas gift for my kid (if there's a killer software library by then).

I'm going to attempt to attend this thing (assuming the family complies) and I have 35gig FIOS so I can possibly assist in hosting.

I'll amend my endorsement of Dirt 3 a little bit based on 5 hours of gameplay. The races are pretty short compared RC2 which had 6 to 10 minute long rally races, in Dirt 3 I have yet to do a rally longer than 2 minutes. So, if you want a more bite sized RC2 (with a lot more variety), then give Dirt 3 a try. But if you just want long ass rallies, then Dirt 3 might not satisfy you.

I don't see the word "Gymkhana" on any of the resumés I see. Just saying...

They played the first rally in the game during that quick look and that is easily the most unforgiving race in the entire first segment of the game. It seems really weird to me that CM would drop you into that race right at the beginning of the game. After getting used the physics and finishing first in the rest of the events in that first triforce of race events, I went back and replayed the first two races and they were still a pain in the ass (for the record, I'm playing "advanced" and cranked the AI up to 4).
 
Also, that barrell roll was epic.
