Final Fantasy 7. Had just got to the overworld area where you need the chocobo to cross the swamp with the snake thing (possible spoiler for FF7 Remake I guess?). Being a child with tons of time I was like, nah I'll just grind it out and beat him. I did. I saved. Save was unloadable. I was not playing through all that story nonsense again so that game was trashed. FF7 Remake seems like a good opportunity to jump back in but now I just kinda dislike those games so ah well.
Going to avoid spoilers and just strongly encourage people on the fence to skip this game.
The worst. Like, actually the worst video game I've ever seen (at least as far as actual games and not some bitcoin scam or whatever... and even then). The gameplay looked completely unappealing, so I watched the IGN all loop complete walkthrough and just can't understand how this came out. I won't go on an extended negative rant on it, but the story is nonsense. I love a good time story and can suspend disbelief but the story doesn't even try to play within its simple rule set. In one loop a character knows information that they explicitly say they didn't know about in a previous loop. Some of the crucial plot dialogues are so wildly unnatural (a certain phone call) and many scenes follow that old school adventure game logic that might be cute in a game like monkey island but is really bizarre here. I get making games is hard but if this is the result just don't do it.
When this game came out, 2 of my friends and me played it all night. Primarily having them with flame throwers on the wings of my plane as I slowly hovered it into the other team's base. One of my favorite gaming memories. Other parts of the game were also fun, even the bit where I tried to convince myself the sixaxis was cool and useful.
It is also one of those games that I have in my mind as just having unbelievably incredible graphics so I'm scared to go look up old videos.
Doesn't matter how much it cost, will pay for itself in a single Anaconda bounty. 2. Large. Hardpoints. No multi-crew, but death is your only friend. Crucial mid game money maker. If elite dangerous is a sandbox then this ship is my dad giving me a gun.
Windshield cracking in space is one of the coolest things I've experienced in a game and this ship does it everytime...
A steal at 87k cr, hardpoint locations in all the right spots, Multi-crew compatible, and crucial early game utility. If elite dangerous is a sandbox then this ship is my dad getting me a costco-esque sand toy bundle.
