Life is Strange spoiler regarding Warren and why people don't like him.

If you saw GBE play Life is Strange they didn't go down a route that paints Warren in a more damning creeper light. He's literally that guy in high school that got put into the friend zone and can't take a hint. What does our very own Max Caulfield think of Warren? I never liked Warren's character and I was honestly surprised by GBE's attitude towards him and his advances towards Max. She clearly didn't know how to make it perfectly clear to Warren that she didn't like him, but I feel that other guys in Warren's shoes would have taken the hint.

@golguin: I don't want to turn a silly topic like this into a dumb debate over the actual game, but that's obviously not Max's actual impressions of Warren, unless you also consider everything that happens in that nightmare her honest feelings, rather than twisted and exaggerated insecurities.

Besides, his response to finding out that Max and Chloe are potentially a thing is pretty chill. A creepy stalker wouldn't back off that easily. (Or at least not take it that well.)

We are in agreement that it's an exaggeration in that sequence, but it's a feeling that is there. Do you honestly believe that Warren's dialogue during that sequence and the contents of that locker are simply throw away things that have nothing to do with Max's apprehension towards Warren?

Maybe a better question would be this. Do you believe that people from various backgrounds are mistaken in their dislike of Warren? That the reasons they cite to not like him don't actually exist in the game?

We are also in agreement that this is a dumb thing to debate in this thread. Maybe a "Giant Bomb Hates Warren" thread in the Life is Strange forum.

@golguin: I do think there's an underlying feeling of apprehension there, because Warren obviously does come on too strong early on and takes too long to take a hint, but everyone has various apprehensions like that toward other people (or themselves) deep down. It doesn't mean you dislike them as a whole person. And I think he eventually redeems himself by accepting the situation and moving on, while also maintaining a good friendship with Max despite being rejected. Calling him nothing more than a creepy stalker is an incredibly huge mischaracterization that completely ignores what actually happens over the course of the game.

People can like or dislike whatever fictional character they please, (hell I was little put off by him at first too), but if being a creepy stalker is their reason then yes, they are mistaken. He's just an infatuated teen that is still learning about life.
