Wow.  this looks amazing... 

you know...  There comes a point when you give the hero so many options and variations to kill,  that the 'lunacy' as you put it,  just starts to make him look like a douche bag.   Shooting a cable into a mans chest attaching the other end to a propane tank and then setting the tank off like a rocket to spin and toss the poor man to death.  I'm sure when this unfortunate mercenary took up this line of work he was aware of the high probability of his death, but I can't help but imagine that while his torso was making propane powered donuts in a crime lords water front compound he's screaming in his mind "Not like this!  Not like this!"
