Favorite fighting game characters.

List items

  • A character that many can identify with, very funny comic relief, good design and fighting style a combination of martial arts and the power of the Dragon Spirit inside him. Not a character people would expect on the first place of a list like this.

  • An boxer gentleman with silly hair and mustache? That is an main characteristic of the character and he wouldn't be the same without them. He plays much more simple than Balrog, with more intersting and easier to pull off attacks. His polite speak is one of his best traits, and gives a nice vibe to the character, and his second Ultra Combo is just like Takane Ryuuji's Boomerang Telios in the Ring ni Kakero manga.

  • Sometimes the serious and stoic characters are better than the funny ones, and in a game of many funny characters I think that Jin stands out from the rest of the cast. He's certainly an antagonist at first but that doesn't mean that he's evil himself, but he is jealous, works to NOL and gets mind controlled by Yukianesa. He has o good range because of his sword, his drive is powerful but don't keep experienced players frozen much time, but he has good juggles and the icecar, and both counter and ranged distortion drives.

  • First woman at the list, she has a lot of things that I like in one character like in looks, personality and attacks. She made her debut in the exelent Garou: Mark of the Wolves and was a character in KOF XI along her partners. I would like see her in a new KOF or Garou(too bad the sequel was dropped).

  • Maybe she was just supposed to be the Karin to Asuka's Sakura, but she got a lot of popularity and become on of the fan favorites in the franchise. But she is not as arrogant as Karin, and only mocks Asuka her rival. She uses mainly her legs on her fights with many acrobatic moves with high jumps.

  • A prisioner that fights with handcuffs and can release hurricanes from his uppercuts? Great idea. Despite being a prisioner he's not evil and only escapes when he wants to participate on a fight but he' not exempt of fighting dirty desorting to trowing stones, attack with tubulation and even using a knife to fight.

  • The tomboy martial artist, Makoto diferent to Sakura is a more realistic fighter and doesn't resort to "fireballs", but she also trains to master her respecive style, the rindokan karate. She has eas moves to pull off and high damage output, that can be increased using Tanden Renki. In SSFIV AE and USFIV that Super Combo combined with a Ultra Combo can time more than half of the enemy damage. The problem she has in my opinion is a horrible anti-air move that doesn't hit characters in front of her and she doesn't jump also.

  • The frail looking girl with ice manipulation powers. Created just to be an assassin and fight K' with no experiences other than this role. Later she would be part of the K' team and becomes a sweet person instead.

  • The two "elemental" powers I like the more are eletricity and wind so of course that many of my favorite characters feature one of them.

  • I find intersting the deadly doctor/nurse trope in fiction, mainly in game. She has fast attacks and has good specials. Storywise she was part of a group that's probally a parody of SF Dolls or even the Jellyfish pirates but instead of month naming they use holliday theming(But her birthday is in Christmas to mock this). She also is one of the more normal characters at the game personality-wise not showing many emotions other than the will to her experiments, her personality is most described by her likes and dislikes.

  • Energy and flaming kicks, energy punches, eletric balls and phoenix combo, she has a lot of creative ki based martial-arts without being a shotoclone in a game that most characters use some sort of weapon.

  • A very funny character, Robo-Ky is one exemple of derivative character at a fighting game that went right. Robo-Ky is nonsense, arrogant, perverted and other things that make him hillarius. At first he was just an history mode based pallet swap of Ky Kiske but them evolved from that and won his own attacks and place at the spotlight.

  • I'm not good with graplers at fighting game, I have dificulty imputing full circle, two circle and three circle motions, but Cerebella just have one circle attack. She has many high damage moves and great palletes.

  • I'm a big fan of India and Hinduism so naturally I have a liking for Dhalsim, even if he seens like a ethnic stereotype to some people. When young I didn't even knew how to do even a hadouken, so I picked him because he could attack at distance.

  • American ninja is a theme of many movies of the 80s/90s. An ex-drug addited who trains martial arts and become a wapanese ninja.

  • Was part of an assassins guild before it was cool.
