Have a lot of you guys even played Blood Money? You are dismissing one of the most unique and interesting games this generation. It's cool if it's not for you but it's easily a top 100 game this gen.
Usually it's pretty obvious when a suspect is telling the truth: their eyes don't dart around and they don't make silly uncomfortable looking expressions. The real issue for me was figuring out when to pick "doubt" or "lie". If you're really unsure of which one to pick then you should go with "lie", hear Cole out, what exactly is he looking to prove, see if you have the evidence to prove said thing, and if you don't, then just back out of the accusation and go with "doubt". If you're really unsure what to choose then just put some of those intuition points into asking the community for the correct answer. As for evidence collecting, just keep looking for evidence until the music stops playing, which means you've found all there is to find.
I'm probably just gonna buy a new pc right now, maybe buy a next gen console years from now, when the systems and the exclusives I'm interested in are much cheaper.
1. Dark Souls 2. Saints Row The Third 3. Hitman: Blood Money 4. Last of us 5. Max Payne 3 6. Far Cry 2 7. Uncharted 2 8. Mass Effect 2 9. L.A. Noire 10. Portal
I would really like to get FEAR 3. The co-op seems like it would be pretty fun to play through with a buddy, and I'm interested in watching me some John Carpenter directed video game cutscenes.
Max Payne 3 is a pretty good game but I don't feel like it's top ten material. There are too many cutscenes which really interrupt the flow of the game, for one. For two, the game sometimes gets a little frustrating because there's no visual cue to tell you that the tiny health bar in the bottom of your screen is almost out. I don't need (and don't want) red jam but some flashing in the corner would have been nice, especially since the health bar is kinda small anyway.
Apart from that, though, the story and writing are pretty damn good and the gunfights are generally very fun. Only Rockstar game I've ever completed and it was pretty well worth it. Just not quite up to the best of 2012, in my opinion.
The "no visual cue for when you're low on health" part kinda stuck out to me too, but after playing awhile I figured that the lower Max is on health, the more wounded he looks ( the visible gunshot wounds and all that). It's not quite as immediately apparent as the screen flashing red but it still gets the job done.
