Alex says this isn't like X-com, but my favourite X-Com are the old UFO AfterX games from Altar which did exactly this for team based combat. They called it 'interrupt-able real-time'.

You can tell this is a modern GBW video because all the gameplay sounds like its being captured over the Laveliers.

I wish I had something more constructive to say but I watch these despite not being a Fighting Games guy

I had a good enough time with the Force Commander demo to buy a copy, only for the retail release have some sort of driver conflict.

God, 90s PC gaming could be a shitshow.
