On L.A Noire

I know, expressing concerns about a game that hasn't released seems like a waste of time. But I felt compelled to express my thoughts going into the game. These may turn out to be ludicrous, but I am expressing them anyway.
L.A Noire utilizes a new technology called MotionScan. This technology uses 32 high definition cameras to capture an actor's facial performance and voice. The entire process and its results are absolutely phenomenal, but I wonder if maybe it does too good a job. What I mean to say is are the recordings too high a quality for the rest of the game?
What has yet to be seen is how the faces look in comparison to the rest of the world. So far as I can tell from the trailers the quality of the facial captures and the detail provided there-in looks out of place when compared to the backdrop. As I said, the game is unreleased and I do not yet know the quality bar at which the city is set. It is my concern that the faces will "out shine" the rest of the game.
Another concern I have is the size of the game world. It has been stated by Rockstar that it takes 30 minutes to traverse the city by car. While I enjoy large, expansive areas, I don't enjoy aimlessly wondering them in search for things to do. I hope that they've taken the time to fill the world with plenty of interactions and diverse experiences to be had.
I have tried to watch as few videos as possible about the game. I watched most of the videos explaining the tech, but stayed away from the ones covering story. It is my understanding that they have used real cases from the time period (40's and 50's ?). I wonder how they have managed to keep from offending the families involved. I'm also intrigued to see how they have intertwined all of the cases together to form an overarching narrative.
I hope that the game enjoys commercial and critical success. Maybe other developers will implement MotionScan into their games. Not all of them of course, as it wouldn't provide much benefit to games without traditional cut-scenes. I can't wait to see how MotionScan evolves. In time, maybe they'll expand its capabilities to include full body scanning.
