That last part was what bugged me the most throughout the campaign. I can't tell you how many times I went through environments - not just levels, but environments - and immediately had callbacks to specific areas from Destiny 1. Remember the Sparrow section of the Cerberus Vae III Strike (Valus Ta'aurac (sp?) was the boss, but the tank was the most memorable part) where you go through that valley of Vex and then through that winding valley? Pretty sure I walked through that same area on Nessus. Or was it Io? Both planets have very similar features to the design of Venus and layouts quite remincisent of a combination of Mars and Venus. It gave me this weird feeling of having already been there before rather than visiting these amazing new worlds.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought on multiple occasions "Hmm, I'm having mild deja vu here". Like, it happened often enough to where I'm pretty sure they did just re-purpose chunks of levels from Destiny 1.

Destiny 1 is prob the game I have sunk the most hours into ever, and I'm a tiny bit disappointed with D2. All the gameplay changes feel like a major update, but not on the level of a proper numbered sequel. I'm happy that it's more Destiny, but I feel like it's just that...more Destiny, and not a sequel. Having said that, I'll prob lose months of my life to this game again, but fool me twice, shame on me. If they skimp on major changes when D3 comes rolling out, I'll prob call it a day.

I was hesitant to get Kiwami right away after having milked zero dry. I wasn't sure if I was up for another game of that size so soon, but Kiwami is a great smaller game that I didn't mind going through.

I find it weird that Sega is giving part 6 an official release next year, but parts 3, 4 and 5 are still stuck on ps3. I hope between now and then they make them ps4 digital downloads.

It's pretty shitty how they word it on psn. I downloaded it, and the game started up, but was quickly hit with a "PAY US, YOU SLIME" pop-up immediately.

I haven't played Destiny in a long while but you can totally play the campaign solo. The strikes might be a challenge solo until you're geared up but the raids you definitely need a group. I'm going to assume the new quests in the open world areas can be done alone as well but who knows at this point.

I don't think you can actively choose to do a Strike solo, can you? I know the game will dump you into an empty Strike if the matchmaking fails, but there isn't an option to choose to be solo.

This thread just reminded me of Amazons Zombie Land pilot. Did anything ever happen with that? I think I remember liking it. I think.

Absolutely, but just be prepared to hit a hard wall. If you play solo and end up loving it like I did, you'll eventually get to the end of what you can do without a group and crave more. At this point, you'll either feel bad about missing out on more Destiny and stop playing or suck it up and start cruising Destiny LFG sites.

@corwag: 2 is currently unavailable on anything other than ps2 (if you want it in English) 3-5 are available on ps3 only currently. 3 is with disk only, 4 is disk/download and 5 is download only I believe.

Thanks! Youtube movie cuts here I come!

Are Yakuza 2-5 available to download (and keep, not streaming) on PSN? I have no desire to find my ps3 and hook it up.

Not surprising. We live in a world now fueled by nostalgia. The internet won't let us forget anything. Jeff or somebody on the staff pretty much nailed it when they called this generation "Generation Remix".
