Nah, I still absolutely loathe mobile/touchscreen-gaming. It's so uncomfotable, controls are usually *ss, tiny screen etc.
The only game I ever actually played on my phone for a while during flights, for example, was Catan. Other than that, if I have to entertain myself with my phone it's music, podcasts, audio books or youtube.
In general, I don't like playing during communtes or while in public. I need quiet and comfortable surroundings for my gaming. Tried playing some games on my Switch on longer train or bus rides but I just can't get into it.
@belgo: Yup. If anything, this pointless speculation bs is exactly the kind of toxic fan behavior that burned out the crew over the years imo.
Just have some trust in these people. 13 years in a job is a long time (arguably a couple of years longer with GS); lots of things changed in the industry, in their lives and in the world as a whole with the whole covid-situation and all that. These aren't the only people who are currently rethinking their lives and careers.
I hope they all find that next thing that makes them happy professionally and I'm also kinda excited about the future of the site.
I think this multi-stage event-like demo is quite effective and it is absolutely harmless compared to the actual predatory practices in the industry.
It does not want to sell me anything except the full game and as already mentioned: it's quite effective at that as an almost curated introduction to the game.
I have considered getting this game since it's early EarlyAccess stages because I love the look and the concept. Haven't pulled the trigger because I can't find a coop buddy among my friends ("PC specs are too weak" and/or "I only play on console" while I would preferably get this for PC). :(
This reinvigorates my interest, however. I'm gonna share this post with a couple of friends. :)
