I've been here since '16 listening to their GOTY discussions, so I not exactly a newcomer but not an OG. I miss all the original members that I got to enjoy on this site, but I also have real gratitude toward Jan for his Bloodborne streams at the beginning of the pandemic that helped keep me sane in that very dire time. I fell off this last year because it felt like they strayed from what made this site so enjoyable (playing video games together and shooting the shit), but that intro video made it clear that they get why many of us are here and consume their content so I'll be sticking around and giving them a portion of my time between watching Jeff's new thing and the Nextlander crew's continuing adventures. Just one request: bring back Hitsmas and get the whole crew in on it. Dan and Vinny's Hitman videos are what drew me to the site (great game) and I feel that game brings out the best in the crew regardless of who is helming the controller and who is in the background talking shit.

DC metro area checking in. We mostly just went back to everyone wearing masks indoors as opposed to roughly 60-70%. The supermarket looked raided today when I went but that had more to do with the series of snow/winter mixes we’ve been getting the last couple of weeks. MD is definitely taking it more seriously than VA but that’s the difference between governor Hogan vs governor Youngkin from what I can tell.

I will add that as an anxious person who never dealt with any physical symptoms from said anxiety, I have definitely started to notice I’m suffering from mini panic attacks on the regular and have to press my fingers to my carotid artery and breathe slowly to bring my heart rate down. I don’t know what specifically causes it other than *waves around at everything* and it’s definitely diminished my patience with people and has made me rather terse when I sense friction in my day-to-day interactions. I wouldn’t say this shit is sucking the life out of me, but it is. Definitely killing my ability to experience joy.

Living in the DC metro area, I don't meet many (if any) people who refer to the present as post-covid. I get some people may be pointing to the initial covid-wave and the lockdown that went with it, but for others I figure it's wish projection to just make this their reality through language choice. And hey, they can do them; I'm past being invested in others standing in solidarity to rid ourselves of the virus. This is, of course, selfish since I don't have any underlying co morbidities to be concerned with or immunity issues that would have kept me from getting a vaccine... but fuck man, I too wanna move on with my life even if it's severely compromised from what it was pre-March 2020.

As far as I'm concerned, everything is either pre-covid era or covid era and that won't likely end before I'm dead and I've made peace with that.

I bought an S for availability reasons last July. Plus, I have a feeling there will be another mid-cycle uprated console at some point and so didn't want it to hurt as much when I eventually upgrade again. It definitely performs better than a One X, which is the only comparison I can make at this point.

Bought an Xbox One back in 2014 with the intention of never buying physical again. I even got Halo 5 (disc) for free with my first Elite Series 1 controller and immediately took it to Game Stop for a trade-in credit to buy some digital Xbox Store bucks. Kept that tradition going when I was able to get a Series S last July and have no regrets. Game Pass makes the wait for games I want to play but are too expensive out of the gate more bearable.

I would take an ‘01 Integra Type R, ‘02 RX-7 Spirit R, and a ‘71 Skyline 2000 GT-R. I know a lot of people pick the Toyota 2000 GT because rarity very often equals desirability, but there’s something about the micro muscle car look of the ‘71 Skyline that I find way more appealing. 2000 GT just looks like a better Jaguar E-Type (blasphemous to say if any Jag fans are within earshot).

@atheistpreacher: I've wanted for them to do a hideout since 2 (2018). Seems like a relatively easy add considering the devs get to go hog on environmental storytelling without having to consider most mechanical aspects aside from 47 testing out various guns and maybe some place to try out equipment like EMP or breaching charges. Over the trilogy's lifespan, It feels like slowly but surely IO is bringing back most aspects that were initially missing from 2016 that fans wanted from Blood Money. Regardless of it being Thanksgiving, I just want to say I'm grateful to them for it... and grateful for ya'll.

@shindig: So many levels from the 'World of Assassination' trilogy are homages to Blood Money Levels: Paris, Dubai, Argentina... my take was that new location looks akin to the NorCal rehab clinic. Then again, if they do the remake, they won't need for these to be 'send up' levels but bona fide high fidelity successors. Also, not sure how the White House mission would be received today.

@gtxforza: Hell yeah. I especially like the OG late 60’s-70’s JDM sports cars. Some of them look like sensibly-sized (ie smaller) muscle cars like the Skyline and RX-3. And then you have the unicorn, Toyota 2000GT that looks like a better Jaguar E-Type.
